“Magic” felt-tip pen for children sold at Leclerc, Cultura and Amazon recalled due to choking hazard
This product packaged in a carton was marketed between January 1, 2024 and February 24, 2025 in many stores. Children may choke on the felt.
By Le ParisienCheck your child's drawing kit! The Rappel Conso website published this Tuesday a national recall sheet for a magic marker "My Arts and Crafts", from the Hachette brand.
"The product is not suitable for children under three years old: the size of the felt-tip pen cap and the foam pad in the box are not suitable," the sheet explains. The child may therefore risk choking on the felt-tip pen.
This product packaged in a cardboard box was marketed between January 1, 2024 and February 24, 2025 in many stores: Truffaut, Botanic, Le Cercle des Jouets, Cultura, La Fnac, King Jouet, In Vivo, J'DEA, Jouet Club, La Grande Récré, Majuscule, Médiance, Compass, Nap Retail, Saisons & Jardins, Sevea as well as WDK Groupe Partner.
The recalled magic marker was also sold in Casino and Leclerc supermarkets, and online at Amazon. The product reference is: GTIN 3700217391478, Lot J09147/012024.
Rappel Conso invites buyers of said product to "no longer use it and to return the product to the point of sale". If you have any questions, you can contact consumer service at 07.69.82.16.87.
Consumers will be able to receive a refund for the purchase of these problematic batches. This recall procedure ends on May 31.
